We are excited to announce  Elissa Malespina as Monday’s keynote at Dynamic Landscape 2020.

Elissa bio picElissa Malespina, is a leader in Future Ready Libraries and how this framework can help empower students through student centered approaches. 

Elissa Malespina is a teacher librarian at Verona High School in Verona, New Jersey. She has been an educator for over 18 years, spending time as a history teacher, special educator, and teacher librarian.  This range of teaching experiences has helped her see the big picture in terms of student achievement and innovative practices.

Elissa is the 2018 finalist for AASL’S Social Justice Defender Social Media Superstar, 2016 PBS Learning Media Digital Innovator, and the ISTE Librarian Network’s Past President.  Her work has been featured in School Library Journal, NPR, and in the PBS documentary School Sleuth: The Case for the Wired Classroom. 

Besides the regular rigor of full time teaching of high school students, Elissa is the chair of the NJ Future Ready Librarians  and also currently teaching an ISTE U class on Future Ready Libraries. We are excited that she is joining us to share her expertise in all things Future Ready.
